Crayola Experience will host “Wrapped in Color!” a fashion show featuring designs by kids, for kids, on Thursday, September 17, from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.
The third annual event, presented by Dreyus Kids, a designer kids’ clothing boutique in Easton, Pa., will feature dozens of “looks” imagined and crafted by a group of young designers aged six to 17. B104’s Steph Wells return as emcee, as does celebrity judge and NYC designer Carol Hannah (Project Runway). Parsons School of Design instructor Maria Kastrinakis joins the judging panel and Image International assumes the mantle of lead sponsor, offering a contract and acting classes to the top model. The top designer will be awarded an internship with Carol Hannah, with one item from his/her collection to be featured in Dreyus Kids.
The show will benefit the Northampton County Special Olympics. The money will help the team with their own fashion project: New uniforms and equipment for its softball league.
“Crayola’s mission is to raise creatively alive children, and this event is a beautiful example of just how strong that creative spark can be,” Crayola Experience Marketing and Sales Manager Kristin Luise said. “The work these kids do is nothing short of inspiring, and we can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeve this year.”
Ticket prices are $20 for general admission, which includes a popcorn voucher, or $35 for VIP admission, which includes a popcorn voucher, swag bag and a Crayola Experience ticket for future use. Other partners include Dash Events and Action Party Rentals.
