Guests can enjoy fall foliage while sipping wine from regional, national vineyards and sampling local fare

In celebration of autumn’s arrival rich with colorful foliage and crisp autumn air, the annual Harvest Lake Stroll at Skytop Lodge returns in October with fun for the whole family.

From noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11, event-goers will be able to stop at five distinct food stations settled around Skytop Lake to sample local goods and wine from regional and national vineyards. Included in the mouth-watering food offerings are venison chili, herb-stuffed lake trout, roasted pig and a variety of meats, cheeses, spreads and desserts.

While listening to live music from the Erin McClelland Band, attendees can sip pours from any of the dozens of vineyards that will be represented, including Frog’s Leap Winery, Rodney Strong Winery, Adelsheim Vineyard and Chateau Ste. Michelle Wine Estates.

“Nothing beats experiencing fall in the Pocono Mountains,” said Jeff Rudder, Skytop Lodge general manager. “From the trees turning color to our local creatures gathering food and making shelter in preparation for the winter, everything just transforms and comes to life. We’re lucky enough to be ideally settled near a lake and with lots of beautiful trails for our guests and visitors to truly experience nature at its best this time of year.”

Cost is $65 for adults 21 and over, $30 for Skytop Lodge guests age 21 and older (who are on the Full American Plan), and $25 for those under 21. Individuals can get more details and purchase tickets online.
