Steve Harvey and Great Wolf Lodge Give Back with Resort Stay for Fifth Grade Humanitarians

In partnership with STEVE, Great Wolf Lodge rewards local fifth year class for helping Reverend and Mrs. Caldwell of Asbury Park, NJ receive a honeymoon 60 years in the making.

February 13, 2018 – Today on Steve Harvey’s daytime talk show “STEVE,” a special fifth grade class from Bear Tavern Elementary in Titusville, New Jersey will receive an unforgettable reward, courtesy of Great Wolf Lodge.

When Reverend Gilbert Caldwell visited Bear Tavern Elementary last year, he shared a story with the class that while on his honeymoon 60 years ago, he and his wife were turned away from Mount Airy Resort due to their race. The students were so moved by his story that they launched a letter writing campaign entreating Mount Airy Resort to offer Rev. Caldwell and his wife, Grace, a second honeymoon. Their hard work paid off! Though the original Mount Airy Resort closed years ago, the Rev. and Mrs. Caldwell were welcomed by the ownership of the new Mount Airy Casino Resort for a long-awaited second honeymoon.

Impressed by these big-hearted youngsters, Steve Harvey and Great Wolf Lodge have teamed up to offer each student’s family their own memorable trip—a two-night inclusive stay at Great Wolf Lodge Pocono Mountains! Tune in to “STEVE” today for the full incredible story.
