Dingmans Ferry, PA – To honor the sacrifices of the region’s veterans, along with active duty military troops, Rep. Rosemary M. Brown (R-Monroe/Pike) will hold a Veterans Expo on Saturday, Oct. 13, from noon to 3 p.m. at Bushkill Elementary School, located at 131 North School Drive in Dingmans Ferry. “This event is just one small way that we can seek to honor the men and women who have bravely served our country and fought to uphold the ideals of democracy, freedom and liberty,” Brown said. “For all that they have done for us, many veterans are not aware of the many services and programs that are designed specifically for them. This Veterans Expo will bring many of those services to one place for veterans and their family members to learn more.” In addition to the expo format where attendees can obtain information from more than 20 exhibitors, the program also includes a special guest speaker, Stephen Lew, executive assistant to the Pennsylvania Deputy Adjutant General for Veterans Affairs. “I encourage all of our area veterans to stop by, peruse the many vendors participating and to stay for our guest speaker,” she added. The Expo is also being co-sponsored by Reps. Mario Scavello (R-Monroe) and Mike Peifer (R-Monroe/Pike/Wayne).
