Pocono Medical Center in conjunction with Suburban EMS donated a Sked® Basic Rescue System and first-aid and trauma medical supplies to Stroud Area Regional Police Department.

Suburban EMS looked to Pocono Medical Center for their support after identifying Stroud Area Regional Police Department’s need for supplies that further protect and optimize the work of their officers, “While collecting data and working with the Police Department in preparing a class that was going to be given at an EMS conference, I was made aware that they were in need of a few items. I went to my liaison at Pocono Medical Center. Since I am very familiar the community involvement that they strive for at Pocono Medical Center, I was sure they would be willing to help procure the items,” said Mehmet Barzev, Paramedic.

The Sked® Basic Rescue System is a lightweight, portable stretcher designed to safely transport or extricate persons in confined spaces or settings that may make traditional retrieval impossible or time ineffective. The backpack filled with medical supplies is intended to provide further preparation for the officers in need.
