Lots of Fun for the Whole Family at Home and Garden Festival

Northeast PA — Get ready for a great time at a great price! Visitors to the Wayne County Builders Association (WCBA) Home and Garden Festival on Saturday and Sunday, September 11 and 12, will experience live musical entertainment, a series of helpful seminars and demonstrations, raffles, a silent auction, pontoon boat rides, refreshments, a farmer’s market, children’s activities, a LEGO competition, and the latest products and services by reputable local businesses… all for only $5 for advance tickets or $7 at the gate.

The WCBA Home and Garden Festival is sponsored by Bold Gold Media, and runs Saturday, September 11, from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday, September 12, from 10 AM to 5 PM at Ladore Lodge Camp Retreat & Conference Center, 287 Owego Turnpike, in Waymart, PA. “Our local volunteers have done our best to make this a fun and affordable weekend,” says Carolyn Gwozdziewycz, Home and Garden Festival Committee Chairperson. “There’s truly something for everyone and our new location at Ladore Lodge is simply spectacular!”

The Riff Kings will pump out popular tunes from the 50s and 60s at the festival’s Antiques & Home Arts Building on Saturday, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM; and Fiddlin’ Around will bring a down home flavor to the festival on Sunday, from 1:00 to 4:00.

Hour-long seminars on Saturday, September 11 will include: Preserving Vegetables at the Garden Center Building, 11:00 AM; Wind and Solar Energy at Builders Hall, noon; The Power to Make a Difference at Builders Hall, 1:00 PM; Faux Finishing at Builders Hall, 2:00 PM; Dividing Plants and Planting Bulbs at the Garden Center, 3:00 PM; Preservation and Restoration of Housing at Builders Hall, 4:00 PM.

Hour-long seminars on Sunday, September 12 will include: Organic Gardening at the Garden Center Building, 11:00 AM; Wind and Solar Energy at Builders Hall, Noon; Composting at the Garden Center Building, 1:00 PM; Faux Finishing at Builders Hall, 2:00 PM; How to Grow Houseplants & Orchids at the Garden Center Building, 3:00 PM; Financing Your Dream at Builders Hall, 4:00 PM. The gardening seminars will be lead by Master Gardeners.

The festival will also feature antique dealer displays at the Antiques & Home Arts Building for those redecorating or restoring their home’s charm, and booth demonstrations by Lifetime Stainless Steel Cookware and Misc. Essentials at Builders Hall. Plus, appearances by “Wayne” the Builder!
