Riger Wins Genesis Awards

Binghamton, NY –Riger, a marketing communications firm, received nine awards, including one first-place finish, at the 21st annual Genesis Awards Competition, sponsored by the Communications Association of the Southern Tier (CAST). Two second-place and six third- place finishes rounded out the list of awards received by the agency.

Riger was recognized with a first place award in the category of Television Advertisement for their Ertle Subaru “Two Ladies” commercial. Second- and third-place finishes came in the categories of Special Event Promotion, Direct Mail, Mixed Media, Illustration, Potpourri, and Video/Film.

Clients for whom the work was completed included the Broome County Council of Churches, CFCU Community Credit Union, ESSA Bank & Trust, GHS Federal Credit Union, and UHS.

The Genesis Awards recognize excellence in marketing communications within the Twin Tiers (Binghamton/Elmira). Judging criteria includes creativity, execution and how well communications objectives were met. This year’s judges included Adam Peruta, assistant professor of integrated marketing communications at the Park School of Communications in Ithaca, NY; Kristen Blake, graphic designer with Keenan-Nagle Advertising, Allentown, PA; and Christine Mellon, visiting professor in the Communication Studies Department of Wilkes University.
