STROUDSBURG, Pa. (April 9, 2015) – St. Luke’s Physical Therapy has opened its second Monroe County facility at 208 Lifeline Rd., Suite 104, Stroudsburg. The new location—the 21st in the St. Luke’s Physical Therapy network – specializes in sports medicine, orthopedics and postoperative care. They are accepting new patient appointments.

“This is the first St. Luke’s Physical Therapy facility in the Stroudsburg area and we have already had very positive responses from doctors,” said Gregory Massie, PT, DPT, and Facility Director for the new location. “This expansion gives us the opportunity to assist more patients even more conveniently and continue our individualized treatment plans.”

The new facility features a Biodex Balance System, which is designed to improve balance, increase agility and develop muscle tones using a computerized platform to assess a patient’s balance and risk of falling. The facility also utilizes traction tables for added stability during exercises and Hawk Grips, an instrument that assists in detecting and treating soft-tissue injuries.

Therapists at the 3,000-square-foot site treat a range of ailments, pains and injuries with a combination of modern technology, traditional physical therapy and manual therapy programs.

The Stroudsburg location is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more information on the facility or to schedule an appointment, call 570-664-8780.
