Honesdale, PA (February 17, 2017) – Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) announced that Board Certified Internist Lori Williams, MD, has joined the team of providers at the Hamlin Family Health Center. Dr. Williams provides outpatient primary care for established patients by appointment as well as walk-in care on a rotational basis.
According to WMCHC Executive Director Frederick Jackson, “Dr. Williams’ clinical skill and compassionate approach to patient care make her an excellent addition to our Hamlin facility.”
Born and raised in NEPA’s mid-valley region, Dr. Williams is a graduate of the University of Scranton. She earned her Medical Degree from Hahnemann Medical School, Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Williams completed both her internship and residency in internal medicine at the Keesler Air Force Base Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi. She spent six years as a staff physician in Biloxi and Tampa, Florida while serving in the military. She returned to NEPA and maintained a private practice in Eynon for 16 years.
Dr. Williams is excited to be “practicing good old fashioned medicine” once again after choosing to step away from her successful up-valley solo practice in 2014. “I really missed direct patient care,” she stated.
The Hamlin Family Health Center offers primary care, walk-in care, lab and radiology services all under one roof. Dedicated walk-in providers treat patients for colds, minor burns or cuts, allergic reactions and more – seven days a week.
