On Wednesday, April 25th, AMSkier Insurance’s Chief Financial Officer, Joseph Faubel was awarded for his outstanding contribution to the community at the Downtown Hawley Partnership’s annual dinner. The AMSkier Family and Staff is proud of Joe for his great work in the community and at AMSkier Insurance.
Joe joined AMSkier as Chief Financial Offer in January of 1992. In the 26 years that Joe has been with the company, he has seen many changes, and has been an instrumental player in all of them. Over this past quarter of a century, the book of business quadrupled, the offices expanded into two buildings and the third generation of the AMSkier family, Jeffrey and Aimee Skier, became involved in every aspect of the business. Joe’s work and involvement has been essential to this growth and change.

Joe’s distinguished work at AMSkier is matched by his incredible contribution to the community on a local and global scale. Since 2014, Joe has been volunteering with the Hawley United Methodist Church who assists MDM (Mountain Development Ministry) Honduras. The organization supplies rural Honduran communities with the financial and human resources needed to sustainably enhance the quality of life of its children and families. He has been involved with the Downtown Hawley Partnership for 10 years as the treasurer. He has also been on the Hawley Borough Council for twenty years as the Finance Chair and sits on the Parks & Rec and Police Committees. From 1999 to 2009, Joe was the president of the Youth Baseball League for children ages six through twelve.
