The Pocono Arts Council is pleased to announce the 3rd Annual Starving Artist Pocono Mac & Cheese Bake Off will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2-4 PM, at Rainbow Mountain Resort in East Stroudsburg. Admission is $2 for kids 2-12 and $5 over 12 and includes Mac & Cheese tasting as well as voting for your favorite recipe. In addition to public voting, celebrity judges, Gary in the Morning and Tu Voz Con Christina from Pocono 96.7 and last year’s winner, Ken Lynch from Dickey’s BBQ Pit in Bartonsville, will be providing their expertise. Last year over 150 people sampled Mac & Cheese from eleven professional and amateur chefs. This year’s event will feature several new entries from Kirkridge Retreat Center, Tom X Pub and Blakeslee Inn and Restaurant, as well as the return of Vinny D’s Deli, Milford Farms, The Forklift Café and Rainbow Mountain.
In addition to the title of “Best Mac & Cheese in the Poconos,” the winning restaurant will receive one month on an Adams Outdoor electronic billboard and second place is $500 worth of advertising on Pocono 96.7. Entry deadline for either category is November 7 and an entry form can be found by visiting www.poconoarts.org and clicking on the Mac & Cheese Bake-Off flyer.
