On Saturday, December 5th, Harmony Presents showcases Cricket Tell the Weather at 8PM in the underground theater inside the Hawley Silk Mill. “Cricket Tell the Weather is a Brooklyn based string band with its roots deep in the bluegrass tradition, embracing folk, old-time, and spirituals as a backdrop for their original songwriting. Winners of the 2013 FreshGrass Award, Cricket formed in the fall of 2012 and has toured the Northeast, establishing a base throughout the bluegrass and folk festival and concert series circuits. They’ve been featured at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, Del Fest, Ossipee Valley Music Festival, Joe Val Bluegrass Festival, and Strawberry Park Bluegrass Festival. They also played the Hawley Harvest Hoedown Bluegrass & Folk Festival’s 2014 concert at the Ritz Theater,” says Jill Carletti, Managing Director of Harmony Presents. She continues, “We’re thrilled to have them back. Their music is enchanting, stimulating, smart and tasteful. They blow us away every time.”
The show takes place in the underground theater of the Hawley Silk Mill located at 8 Silk Mill Drive in Hawley, PA. Cocoon Catering Company caters wine, beer and light snacks on site for all shows. A limited amount of Early Bird tickets are available for $18. After Early Bird sales close, Advance Tickets become available for $22. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $24.
