Lackawaxen, PA : The supervisors of Lackawaxen Township announce the first annual Neighborhood Pumpkin Party on Sunday, October 23, 2016, 11a-3p at Veterans Memorial Park in Lackawaxen Village, Route 590.
Free pumpkins and decorating (one for each child, as long as supplies last). There will be face painting, music, entertainment and a Trunk-n-Treat where children visit the trunks of decorated vehicles to collect treats.
Mike Mancino, Township Supervisor said, “We are so excited to present a fun filled harvest festival. The township property was formerly the Urban Stables and previously offered Halloween events. It’s such a big and beautiful property that is meant for all of the residents to enjoy. Providing family-friendly programs and events is important to building community spirit. Lackawaxen Township is an exceptional place to live. ”
“I think this is a great way to get to know our neighbors better. We share a love of a naturally beautiful community and a quality of life that is truly special. I hope this is the first of many events and programs to benefit the residents of Lackawaxen Township” says Laurie A. Guzda, Chair for the event.
The event is sponsored by Lackawaxen Township, Woodloch, The Lackawaxen House, Honesdale National Bank and Ski Big Bear.
Plans are currently underway. Anyone wishing to volunteer or donate may contact Laurie Guzda at 570-335-6824.
