NEPIRC Hosts National Manufacturing Day Luncheon

Manufacturing Day is a nationwide initiative that recognizes the impact of manufacturing upon the U.S. economy, applauds manufacturing’s value to communities across the nation and raises awareness of high-paying manufacturing careers. Manufacturing Day efforts provide business leaders, legislators, educators, families, media, and the community at large with timely information about the innovations, technologies, career options and best practices that exist within today’s forward-thinking manufacturers.

HarryMoserTo celebrate this national event, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center, NEPIRC, is sponsoring a networking luncheon to recognize and celebrate manufacturers in northeastern and the northern tier of Pennsylvania. The luncheon will be held at PNC Field in Moosic on Friday, October 2nd. This year’s event will feature Harry Moser, President of the Reshoring Initiative. Mr. Moser founded the Reshoring Initiative in 2010 to bring manufacturing jobs back to the U.S. Since then, he’s been inducted into the Industry Week Manufacturing Hall of Fame, participated in President Obama’s Insourcing Forum at the White House, published several articles and won several awards for his advocacy of American manufacturing. Mr. Moser will address the current trends in manufacturing and the factors driving these trends, highlighting the areas that need to be addressed to strengthen American manufacturing.

“We’re delighted to bring Harry Moser into our region”, says Eric Joseph Esoda, NEPIRC’s Executive Director, “because he brings something of relevance to every member of the audience. Manufacturing executives, our economic development community, legislators, educators, and families and young adults will all learn more about how manufacturing contributes to our regional economy, the truth about modern manufacturing, and what they can do to support our manufacturing community.”

Mr. Moser will address the audience during a lunch presentation that is part of the October 2nd event, which runs from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm at the Mohegan Sun Club at PNC Field.
