For the second year in a row, The Honesdale Rotary club will offer a Beer Garden at the annual Honesdale Roots & Rhythm Music & Arts Festival, taking place this year on Saturday, June 20th. In addition to cold beers, wine and popcorn, Rotary members will sell warm pretzel twists at the Grace Episcopal Church courtyard on 9th Street, between Church and Court Streets.
“The pretzels are a great complement to our beer and wine,” says Richelle Stephens, event coordinator. “We’ll have more wine choices this year, too. Everyone will be able to hear the great music of Roots & Rhythm while enjoying a cool drink in a safe comfortable location.”
Beer will sell for $4 per serving and wine for $5 a glass.
The Honesdale Rotary is a service club of close to 40 members dedicated to helping the communities in which they live and work. The club has donated batting pavilions to Honesdale Little Baseball, an AED to Honesdale Friends of Soccer and funding for the Honesdale Emergency Pantry. Part of Rotary International, which counts more than a million members worldwide, Honesdale Rotary also participates in global projects, such as Polio Plus, a campaign to eradicate polio, and the Rotary’s International Student Exchange Program.
“We’re looking forward to another great year!” adds Stephens, “And once again, we thank Grace Episcopal Church for letting us use their courtyard.”
