In an effort to assist local veterans with compensation, education, pension, health care and death benefits, Rep. Mike Peifer (R-Pike/Wayne) will be offering veterans’ assistance hours on Monday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at his district office.
Gina Svoboda, an American Legion service officer, will be at Peifer’s district office, located at 2523 Route 6, Suite 2, in Hawley to provide free assistance to veterans with a variety of issues.
“This month, we pay special recognition to our veterans and the immense sacrifices they have made for our freedom,” said Peifer. “I am pleased to offer assistance to area veterans in my district office and I encourage them take advantage of this opportunity.”
Veterans need not be a member of the American Legion to use this service. To schedule an appointment, call Peifer’s office at 570-226-5959. Hours are offered on the secondMonday of each month.
