HARRISBURG – Rep. Jack Rader (R-Monroe) and Sen. Mario Scavello (R-Monroe/Northampton) will be holding a Small Games of Chance Seminar on Thursday, April 28, at the West End Fire Hall, located at 128 Route 715 in Brodheadsville.
This event is designed to update constituents on the recent changes to the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act, which improved fundraising abilities for nonprofit associations, charitable organizations and other civic groups through increased limits for prize payouts.
“In an effort to provide the most up-to-date information to holders of small games of chance licenses, we are hosting an informational seminar on the state’s Small Games of Chance Law. We have an informative program planned, and I hope many local residents will be able to gain some valuable information about the changes to the Small Games of Chance Act,” said Scavello.
“This event is a good opportunity for community organizations to become familiar with Pennsylvania’s laws regarding fundraising. We want to ensure that local groups understand the updates to the law,” said Rader.
Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to Rader’s office at (570) 643-7683.
