St’ART Stroudsburg and the Pocono Arts Council Host Halloween on Main


Stroudsburg – Ghosts and Goblins are invited to downtown Stroudsburg on Saturday, October 31, as st’ART Stroudsburg and the Pocono Arts Council present Halloween on Main.  This day-long event will have something for everyone, from the youngest ghoul to the oldest zombie.   The day’s activities begin with a Haunted Sketch Crawl, meeting at the lower Main St. Grave Yard, from noon to 2.  Trick or Treating runs from 3-5 pm and includes a “Find the Ghost” scavenger hunt throughout the local business community and a Haunted Gallery at Origins Gallery at 580 Main Street.  “Find the Ghost” participants will receive a special prize.

In the evening, Spooky Storytellers in costume will delight, amuse and maybe even frighten you with Creepy Tales from 6-8 at Courthouse Square.  During the same time, ESU Art Association members will paint faces for Halloween at the Pocono Arts Council, located right next to the Square.  Gigi and Company Dance Troupe will perform at 7:50 pm in the Square as Monsters, Zombies, Ghouls and Creepers – audience participation in costume encouraged – are released with the Juggernaut String Band leading the way on a Monster Crawl through Stroudsburg’s haunted Main Street.  The crawl leads to Origins Gallery where a Monster Bash where a Costume Contest, the Juggernaut String Band, refreshments and goodies for all will conclude the evening from 9 to 11 pm.  The day promises to be a ghoulish time in celebration of Halloween.
