The Chamber of the Northern Poconos accepting entries to participate in the Chili-Mac & Cheese Cook Off at Ehrhardt’s Waterfront!


Chamber-of-Northern-Poconos-LogoThe Chamber of the Northern Poconos presents the Chili / Mac & Cheese Cook Off, set to take place on Sunday, February 22, 2015!  The event will be based at Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Banquet Center on Lake Wallenpaupack, Route 507, 2 miles east of Hawley, PA.

Major sponsors are Yuengling & Banko Beverage Company, Ehrhardt’s Waterfront, C & C Equipment Rental, Crystal Cabin Fever, DJ Billy O, and Bold Gold Media Group.

           Enter your favorite chili and/or mac & cheese recipes TODAY to reserve space in this unique event!!  This is a perfect way to spend a winter’s day; tasting delicious samples and judging your favorites!  The Cook Off gets under way at high Noon.  The doors remain open for admission with plenty of food available until 3 pm.

Official judges are the Administrators from Wallenpaupack Area School District.  First place winners in both chili and mac & cheese will capture a trophy and $100 cash award.  Awards will also be presented to second and third place winners.  First place winners in the coveted Peoples Choice category will also receive $100 plus trophies!  There will be second and third place trophies too!  All in attendance will serve as judges to select the Peoples Choice winners.

There is no charge for chili and/or mac & cheese entries, which may be from a business, organization, or individual.  Multiple entries are encouraged!  Admission fee for the public to “taste and judge” is $15 per person, and just $10 for kids 10 and under.  Advance ticket sales are available through the three Chamber offices; Lake Wallenpaupack, Honesdale or Hamlin.

All will have a great sampling from some of the best cooks, chefs, and restaurants in the region.  No one goes away hungry.  It’s a great way to warm-up fast on a cold winter’s day!
