Athletes in Northeast Pennsylvania will no longer need to travel for professional training or to play year-round. A new 30,000 square foot multi-sport training complex in White Mills is scheduled to open in November 2015.

This unique facility will provide comprehensive training and treatment for athletes in a variety of sports, including specialized indoor –and eventually outdoor– facilities designed for baseball, softball, soccer, football, lacrosse and field hockey.

This venture brings two established professional sports skill development services under one roof:

Pro Prospects Training Center, one of the most respected baseball and softball skill development academies in the northeast, will move their Pennsylvania operation into the new complex. Founded in 1997 by former minor league hitting coach Steve Pinto, Pro Prospects has helped more than 1,000 players reach the collegiate level and more than 100 of their players have gone on to play professional baseball. The staff of former professional and college players and coaches have a combined 175 years of coaching and training experience. Pro Prospects is also the Greater Hudson Valley (NY) hub for Prep Baseball Report-NY one of the top scouting services nationwide, providing area ballplayers education on the recruiting process and comprehensive national college exposure.

Pro Prospects will bring its cutting-edge strength and conditioning service, Athletic Symmetry, headed by former Kansas City Royals strength coach Stephen Gamma. Gamma, a certified CSCS, and his staff will provide assessments, training and corrective therapy. Coach Gamma and his staff will be available for private, small-group and team strength & conditioning for athletes of all sports.

Pro Prospects’ new space will include four batting cages, arm-action pitching machines, two pitching mounds and long toss tunnels, a regulation indoor baseball & softball infield and a 1,600 square foot state-of-the-art strength and conditioning center for athletes of all sports. In addition to providing private, small-group and team training, their new facility will also be available for individual or group and team rentals.

This sports complex will also be home to T.A.S.S. Soccer of Northeastern Pennsylvania, a fast-growing & respected training and travel soccer program run by NSCAA-registered coach Gerry Linn. As a former NCAA Head Coach, Linn has a long career of playoff and championship wins.  Coach Linn’s staff is comprised of seasoned collegiate and semi-professional players and coaches. They will be available for private and group training and will host skills camps for players of all ages and skill levels. T.A.S.S. will use the complex’s 150’x120’ regulation soccer field for practice, training and camps. The main field can also be split into two 60’ x 120’ fields and will be available for soccer, football, lacrosse, field hockey, baseball and softball team rentals.

Plans are also in place for an indoor soccer league starting late Fall 2015 and flag football in 2016.

The complex will also include:

-On-site physical therapy

-On-site athletic training

-A sporting goods store

-A conference/party room

-A café/full concession area with guest seating in full view of the main sports fields

-The addition of outdoor baseball, softball and soccer fields in the near future
