Building on the success of last fall’s ArtSmash of the Poconos, the creators of the event, Debbie Burke of Pocono Jazz and Poetry, and Paul Smeltz of The Forwardian Arts Society, are bringing another great arts event, this time to the West End. ArtSmash 2 of the Poconos- West End Style- will take place on Saturday, July 17 from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Family Center on Rt. 940 in Blakeslee. While art, poetry and music lovers enjoy the free admission and family-friendly content, donations are encouraged and will be split between Forwardian literary magazine and event host St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish. The event includes live music, art, theater, poetry readings, breakout artist demonstrations, and vendors selling original Pocono-based works of art and photography, chap books and other literature, CDs, T-shirts, and more. A concession stand with food and refreshments will be provided by Knights of Columbus Council 13752. The venue is very spacious with fantastic natural light, ample parking and is easy to find, located about 13 miles west of Five Points in Mt. Pocono. Vendors seeking tables (very reasonably priced at $25) and performers seeking a time slot can call Paul Smeltz at (570) 269-3348 or email email@example.com. For directions and more information call Ken Meyer at (570) 242-3377 for directions and more information.
