Brown Invites Residents to Legislative ‘Coffee Break’ Events in August

EAST STROUDSBURG – As part of Rep. Rosemary M. Brown’s (R-Monroe-Pike) ongoing efforts to engage in discussions on important state issues throughout the 189th District, she’s encouraging residents to attend one of her upcoming legislative “coffee breaks” being held this month.

“It has been a very busy start to the 2013-14 legislative session in Harrisburg,” said Brown. “Our most recent accomplishment happened at the end of June when we passed the state budget on time for the third year in a row. I’m looking forward to these coffee breaks because they allow me to meet with area residents and give me some ideas of issues they would like me to focus on when I return to Harrisburg in the fall.”

The coffee breaks will last approximately 90 minutes, and will be held on the following dates and locations:

· Thursday, Aug. 8, at 8:30 a.m.

Middle Smithfield Township Building

147 Municipal Drive

· Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 8:30 a.m.

Snydersville Fire Department

Rimrock Road

· Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 9 a.m.

Delaware Township Building

116 Wilson Hill Road in Dingmans Ferry

Residents are able to attend the meeting that works best for them. Due to limited seating, Brown asks that attendees register in advance by calling her district office in East Stroudsburg at 570-420-8301, and at that time indicate which coffee break they choose to attend, as well as the number of people attending.
