Stroudsburg, PA – The 6th Annual Bizzy Awards competition is underway and visitors at the Greater Pocono Chamber of Commerce Expo ’11 at East Stroudsburg University will have an opportunity to tour the Bizzy Awards Museum.
The museum takes a look back at the last 5 years of Bizzy Award winners through video, pictures and an interactive computer game.
The expo also is the kickoff to accept entries from area businesses for this year’s Bizzy Awards.
The Bizzy Awards is an academy awards-style contest featuring business against business. It is a fundraising event with proceeds going to the Business Resource Center at the Greater Pocono Chamber of Commerce in Stroudsburg.
“This has really grown over the years to be a fun and friendly competition between businesses here in the Poconos”, says George Roberts, executive producer of the Bizzy Awards TV Broadcast. “There are guidelines for each category and they can be found online.”
Entry forms are now available and the deadline to enter is May 13th. The chamber membership will receive a ballot to vote on all entries in July. Nominees will be chosen for each category and announced in August.
Winners will be announced at a special TELEVISED red-carpet black-tie awards banquet to be held in September.
