PoconoWomen Conference Keynote Speaker Announced

Stroudsburg,PA – PoconoWomen has announced its Keynote speaker and its breakout session leaders in anticipation of its third annual PoconoWomen’s conference that is about to take place on Saturday, May 7 at the Inn at Pocono Manor from 9 AM to 2 PM. The conference theme this year is “Embrace Success” and in accordance with the theme, PoconoWomen will pay tribute to a group of local women who have achieved personal and business success in their careers.

This year’s Keynote Speaker is Rachel Moyer, a woman who made a difference locally and nationally and is the unsung hero of anybody whose life has been saved with the use of an AED device. An automated external defibrillator device is used to shock a person’s heart if it suddenly stops beating, like her son’s Gregory’s did a decade ago in the locker room of Notre Dame High School. Because of Rachel’s passion to prevent similar tragedies from happening to others, AED devices are now installed in many schools and public buildings across the nation and many lives have been saved due to Rachel’s ability to turn her tragedy into making a difference.

“You can stay in bed and not do anything because the grief is so overwhelming, or you can get out of bed and make a difference,” Moyer says. Her keynote will take place directly after the conference’s champagne brunch and she will update us on her progress on launching legislation across the nation and the placement of AED devices in public buildings.

PoconoWomen’s “Embrace Success” Conference will also include these Breakout Session topics: “Embracing Your Personal Brand” by Meg Watt of MegaWatt Communications, “Successfully Reinvesting in Your Business” with Nikki O’Malley of Morgan Stanley and Holley Kearns of KNBT, “Successful Charitable Giving” by Maryanne Heeter of Farr Healy Associates, And David Christine, CST / Massage Academy of the Poconos, will give a presentation on “Embracing Craniosacral Therapy: A Holistic Approach”.

Attendees are invited to get interviewed on the Red Carpet for a donation that will be collected for the Helping Hands Food Pantry of the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church. Major sponsors include: major media sponsor, WSBG 93.5 FM, Align Life Center for Natural Health, Ellen Kerz Interiors, Massage Academy of the Poconos, Deerfield Spa, The Inn at Pocono Manor, MegaWatt Communications, Mary Louise Parker, Esq., Geisinger Health System, Human Touch Wellness and Silpada Designs.
