Community Forum on Oct. 27 to Address Basic Needs

Tannersville, PA – On Thursday, Oct. 27, United Way of Monroe County will hold a community forum to discuss the increasing need for emergency food and shelter in Monroe County. The forum will be held at the Chateau Resort and Conference Center in Tannersville from 7 to 8:30 pm.

Joining United Way representatives will be Sharon Taylor of Pocono Area Transitional Housing, Major James Gingrich of the Salvation Army and Jennifer Grube and Ron Garrett of Women’s Resources of Monroe County. Each agency will explain how they have been impacted by recent funding cuts and ways that community members can help improve the situation.

The forum will be facilitated by George Roberts of TV13. This event is free and open to the public to attend. For more information, call 570-629-5657.
