Carbon County Computer Services Company Opens Jim Thorpe Storefront

Jim Thorpe, PA — After providing contract Information Technology (IT) services for municipalities around the county for over a year, Leztek Systems owner Jeff Leslie has decided to open a storefront at 434 Center Street in Jim Thorpe to better serve the needs of small- and medium-sized businesses in the county as well as residential customers. Leslie will offer managed IT services, networking, computer sales and service, web design, social networking consulting and training on various applications.

Leztek has been supporting a number of local governments for some time, including the boroughs of Jim Thorpe, Coaldale, Summit Hill and Lower Towamensing Township.

“I feel there is an unmet need in this area for a computer services company that specializes in small- and medium-sized businesses, in particular, because all of these companies need an IT person but many can’t afford one,” Leslie said. “Our managed service contracts allow us to take over the IT responsibilities of these smaller firms, securing their networks, protecting their valuable data, and making provisions for disaster recovery, while keeping their systems and networks running at an optimal level.”

Research indicates that many smaller firms have not made adequate plans for disaster recovery and that most would fail in the event of a major loss of data. Leztek is already supporting a number of companies around Carbon County, including the law firms of Michael S.Greek and Carole Walbert as well as Wildoner Insurance and RGA Public Relations. “These firms need regular backups and network support to keep things running smoothly and we can offer that,” Leslie said.

In addition to supporting businesses, Leslie said the storefront would allow him to offer more services to residential customers in the county.

“Residents in Carbon County want to buy computers and join social networking sites, but many don’t trust the big box stores and know they don’t offer good service or training after the sale,” Leslie said. “With this new location, we’ll be able to give them what they need.” Heather Skodacek will serve as Leztek’s office manager and will be in the new office daily. Leslie plans to have regular office hours Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
