Downtown Halloween in Stroudsburg on Saturday, October 29th

Stroudsburg, PA – The Jacob Stroud Corporation presents Trick-or-Treat and a FREE Downtown Halloween Children’s Parade on Saturday, October 29, 2010 beginning at 11:00 am.

For those that are too scared to venture out after the sun goes down, Downtown Stroudsburg has the solution! Dress your kids up and prepare them for a fun-filled day close to home with Trick-or-Treat, Kiddie Parade and finish with Halloween festivities at the YMCA!

Beautiful Downtown Stroudsburg businesses will host Trick-or-Treat from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm before assembling for the Halloween Parade. Stroll through the town and visit participating businesses with signs out front that read, “Trick-or-Treat.”

Children and their parents may start gathering for the parade at 12:30 pm in front of the YMCA, 809 Main Street (next to Dunkin Donuts). The parade will step off promptly at 1:00 pm. Children will march on the sidewalks, traveling down Main Street, crossing over Main and return back to the YMCA.

Families can complete their day with a Halloween Party at the YMCA from 2:00 until 5:00 pm.

The Pocono YMCA will host several special activities, including pumpkin painting, carnival games, face painting, prizes and fun for the whole family. There will also be a costume contest for all ages. The cost per child is $5 and adults are free. Further information can be found by visiting our website, www.stroudsburg.net.
