The Jacob Stroud Corporation is proud to partner with the Stroudsmoor Country Inn for their 10th Annual Scarecrow Exhibition, as we celebrate the coming of the fall and recognize charitable organizations for their service to our community.
Beautiful Downtown Stroudsburg businesses, along with Stroudsmoor employees, have taken advantage of working together as a community to promote awareness of all different charities and non-profit organizations. Some of the organizations include Women’s Resources, Pocono Medical Center, Dale and Frances Hughes Cancer Center at Pocono Medical Center, National Alopecia Areata Foundation, Make a Wish Foundation, East Stroudsburg University Athletic Department, American Red Cross of Monroe County, AWSOM, Toys for Tots, The Boy Scouts of America, and the Arbor Day Foundation.
Participants have committed to creating original scarecrows from four categories, including the traditional scarecrow, Group Scarecrow, An Artistic “Crow,” or Crows of Another Feather. Each of the categories allow the business or individual to create a scarecrow representative of their own style that also signifies their favorite charitable organization or non-profit.
Prizes will be awarded to the top five winners starting with the Grand Prize of $250 which will be donated to the business or individuals charity or non-profit of choice. The public may vote on the scarecrows the first two weeks of the exhibition ending the second week in October. Ballots are available at the Jacob Stroud Office located at 537 Ann Street, Stroudsburg in the Historic Driebe Freight Station, The Main Inn at Stroudsmoor and at Stroudsmoor Inn Towne Bakery Café located at 125 Broad Street, Stroudsburg.
