East Stroudsburg, PA – The Eastburg Community Alliance (ECA)’s Books, Brushes and Blooms: Spring Arts and Literary Festival will take place on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from noon to 4:00 p.m. in Millers Park in Downtown East Stroudsburg.
ECA’s Books, Brushes and Blooms’ event committee is currently seeking artists, authors, gardeners (landscape artists, master gardeners) non-profits and artisans to participate. This event welcomes and encourages interactive exhibits in literature and the arts as well as live performances that will engage the senses and awaken the imagination.
Books, Brush and Blooms is the ECA’s annual celebration of the Arts. This event welcomes and celebrates the natural art and beauty of the Pocono Mountain’s awakening to spring by paying tribute to local artists, authors and artisans. This non-juried, yet selective, venue offers a diverse showing in the arts; from sculptors to glass blowers, painters, to poets, farmers to landscape architects, writers, singers, songwriters, and those that fill the spaces between. Located with free amble parking, close to Eastburg’s quaint downtown shopping district, as well as just off the levee loop trail system and alongside the Historic Dansbury Depot Train Station Rehabilitation, Miller Park offers a one-of-a kind venue for local and regional artists to shine.
The ECA will be hosting this event in coordination with the exclusive Black Maria Independent Film Festival and event organizers will be preparing meaningful entertainment and promotion to ensure that this event is a popular destination for residents and visitors alike!
The cost to register is $20.00 and $15.00 for non-profit organizations. Event proceeds help to support the ECA’s historic preservation, arts promotion and community enrichment work in East Stroudsburg. Registration is necessary for participation. Registration forms must be submitted to EastBurg Community Alliance no later than May 5th to be included in this event.
