Stroudsburg, Monroe County – Whether you’re an endurance athlete or you rarely exercise, you’ll have a blast getting doused with color during the “My School Color Run” at Shawnee Mountain. It’s a fun 5k walk/run for the whole family. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome.
The event is a fundraiser for the Summit School of the Poconos. “Rather than sell goods, we want to engage the student body and the community in a fitness initiative that aims to encourage a life-long healthy way of living,” says volunteer Jillian McDermott.
Along the route, participants pass through vibrant color zones where they get sprayed with color. Participants that register by 4/7/17, will receive a t-shirt, race bib, and color packet to be thrown in the air at the finish line color celebration.
You can sign up for the run by visiting www.MSCRShawnee.eventbrite.com .
Business sponsorship opportunities are also available. Please contact colorrun@summitschoolpoconos. org for more information.
