Blakeslee, PA – The Blakeslee Inn & Restaurants on Route 940 in Blakeslee, PA will bring the inside out with an Outdoor Family Festival/Block Party on Sunday, July 21, from 1-6 pm.
The event, which will benefit Pocono Services for Families and Children, will feature a summertime buffet including clam bake, BBQ, and carving stations, along with assorted salads and desserts. Those over 21 years of age can enjoy a cash bar for beer and wine.
Kids of all ages will have fun with games, face painting, a bounce house, a climbing wall, dance performances and much more. Friendly clowns, Tootles and Friends, will be on hand and Pocono Raceway mascot Tricky will be making a special visit. Attendees will also have a chance to win a 4 pack of Bistro Seat tickets and pit passes to the August 4thGlowbowling.com 400 at Pocono Raceway. Adding to the excitement, the event will be emceed by personalities from Froggy 101. Block Party tickets, which can be purchased at the gate on the day of event, are just $28 for adults and $15 for kids age 5-12, with children 4 and under free.
“We have always wanted to celebrate the tastes of summer with an outdoor festival,” said Blakeslee Inn Executive Chef Chris Mullin. “Being able to showcase our cuisine in a fun, family friendly atmosphere to benefit a great cause just makes it even better,” Mullin continued.
The beneficiary of the event, Pocono Services for Families and Children, has been providing comprehensive, supportive services for young children and their families in Monroe County to promote success in school and life since 1965. Tim Lee, executive director of the nonprofit organization which serves over 200 children and families in six sites/13 classrooms, said, “PSFC is all about families, and this Block Party is a fun way for families to spend a summer afternoon together.” Families helping families is what the Blakeslee Inn Block Party is all about.
