Honesdale, PA. – William Schweighofer, Chairman of the Board of The Honesdale National Bank announced that Christopher Todd Bresset was promoted to Vice President. In his position as Retail Lending Manager, Mr. Bresset administers and coordinates the retail lending activities of HNB’s branch network. He is headquartered at HNB’s 733 Main Street Office in Honesdale.
In making the announcement, Schweighofer stated, “Chris has proven to be a valuable asset to the bank, and we look forward to his input and direction as a Vice President. He is a lifelong area resident who has chosen to remain here to raise his family. As a parent of young children, he is keenly aware of challenges facing today’s families and brings a dedication to tailoring HNB’s services to meet the needs of HNB’s customers.”
In his current role as Retail Lending Manager, Chris is responsible for the establishment and review of consumer lending credit policies and procedures and analysis of the credit decisions made by consumer lenders in HNB’s ten branches. He is tasked with supervising consumer loan officers and consumer loan specialists, assisting branch managers in retail lending, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, assisting assigned retail lending personnel and branch managers in meeting established objectives in the areas of retail lending and developing new business.
Additionally, Chris originates mortgage loans, home equity loans, small commercial loans, and manages construction mortgage loans through the process. He is responsible for coordinating training and reviewing consumer loan documents.
Christopher is a graduate of Honesdale High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History with a minor in Theatre from Wilkes University. He is a graduate of the School of Banking and attended the Advanced School of Banking, conducted by the Pennsylvania Bankers Association on the campus of Penn State University.
Mr. Bresset is a former member of the Honesdale Area Jaycees, President of the Friends of Soccer and is a Honesdale Soccer Club and Honesdale Biddy Basketball coach. He and his wife, Mindy, reside in Honesdale with their three sons, Jonathon, Matthew, and Gavin.
