Wayne County, PA – Leadership Wayne Class of 2013 is off to a great start with having just completed their second session, which was facilitated by Tom Shepstone of Shepstone Management. The day began at the Wayne County Chamber with a discussion on regional economics, housing, land use changes & trends, and major issues facing Wayne County. The group then enjoyed the beautiful autumn weather by touring the northern part of Wayne County with stops at Rybak’s Northeast Training Center, the Equinunk Historical Society and enjoyed lunch at The Inn at Starlight Lake. During lunch, the participants heard from Charles Johnston, a large forest owner, regarding the timber industry and Bill desRosiers of Cabot Oil & Gas regarding the natural gas industry.
Leadership Wayne will continue their Wayne County experience and education until June 2013, touching on other important topics such as: Community & Human Services, Education, Economic Development, and more.
