Brown Says Transportation Available to Attend Property Tax Rally in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, PA – Bus transportation will be available for residents who wish to travel to Harrisburg to rally for House Bill 1776, the Property Tax Independence Act, on Monday, May 7, said Rep. Rosemary M. Brown (R-Monroe/Pike).

Those who are interested in riding the bus should call (570) 421-2129 by Friday, April 27. The cost for the transportation is $28 for a seat. The transportation is being offered by Monroe County Tax Coalition.

The bus will leave the morning of May 7 at 6:30 a.m. from Blue Mountain Lake.

House Bill 1776, which Brown is co-sponsoring, seeks to eliminate school property taxes and shifts education funding to alternatives like sales and use and income taxes.
