Pike And Wayne County Commissoners Join Forces
Pike and Wayne County Commissioners and Hotel Tax Boards are excited to announce they are teaming up on a joint endeavor to create an all?inclusive travel guide for the Northern Pocono Mountains Region. “Wayne County Commissioners are extremely excited about this new opportunity that will provide increased exposure to our Tourism related businesses,” said Commissioner Brian Smith. The 7 year old award?winning Discover Pike Visitor’s Guide is being rebranded and will showcase both Pike and Wayne Counties, now called the Northern Pocono Mountains (NPM) Travel Guide.
This travel guide will be the premier official stay & play resource guide for visitors coming to the Northern Pocono Mountains. The newly?expanded NPM Travel Guide and user?friendly website will enhance the group’s proven track record as the go?to resources for visitors planning a trip or extended vacation in the Pocono Mountains. In order for these planning tools to be as comprehensive as possible, local tourism?related businesses can be listed and their information kept current. Thanks to the county hotel tax funding, the guide is able to offer a FREE listing for tourism?related businesses in the guide, plus full color advertising at very reasonable rates.
This year 60,000 guides will be printed and distributed to 400+ locations throughout PA, NY and NJ including the Interstate Welcome Centers and Pocono Mountains Visitor Centers. The NPM Travel Guide will be accessible on the new responsive website, PoconoMountains.com/NPM. The county commissioners are pleased to partner on this new joint project with the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau which annually takes an active role in Guide distribution.
Bailey Design & Advertising in Honesdale has published the Discover Pike PA guide for the last seven years and has again been chosen to design, coordinate advertising and publish this new all?inclusive guide.
