Stroudsburg, PA – Huber Engineered Wood Products donated a unit of ZIP System R Sheathing to Monroe County Habitat for Humanity.   Cramer’s Home Building Center in Pocono Summit arranged the donation and picked up the material in Harrisburg.  Cramer’s will store the product until it is needed for the project on Summit Drive in Mt. Pocono.  The all-in-one ZIP System® R sheathing panel provides a new approach to sealing and insulating the building envelope.  It eliminates the need for house wrap, increases the overall insulation value of the walls by 31% and prevents thermal bridging.

Monroe County Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer based, non-profit, ecumenical housing ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide by making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat utilizes volunteer labor to rehabilitate homes and sell them through a no-interest mortgage to qualified families. Currently, Habitat has two projects in progress in the Mt Pocono area.  Anyone interested in volunteering, please call 570-476-9846 and speak to Joanne.
