The founder of nonprofit charity Crayons for Kids, Inc. and the holder of two Masters Degrees has just taken the helm at Eastburg Community Alliance. Cheryl Hayne will take her vast experience in Main Street programs and work to enhance the downtown community with event planning, marketing, and PR. “We are confident that Cheryl will bring the passion, expertise, experience, and energy this position requires enhancing Eastburg’s Main Street program,” says Marynell Strunk, president of the ECA Board of Directors.

The second new addition to the ECA landscape is business development consultant Mike Kijewski. With a background in business start-up and small business management, his goal will be helping downtown East Stroudsburg attract new clientele through hosting business workshops. Topics will include target marketing, social networking, retail merchandising, and more. Kijewski currently owns Arrival Boardshop on Main Street in Stroudsburg and manages his family’s business, KC’s Pub on West Main Street, also in Stroudsburg. “I am extremely excited to be part of the ECA organization and looks forward to meeting downtown business leaders soon,” says Kijewski.

Eastburg’s previous downtown manager, Henry Pyatt, accepted a position at the New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC) in Philadelphia.
