Milford, PA – Now through February 22nd, orders can be placed for the Pike County American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days’ items at many local participating businesses, agencies, churches and schools. Orders placed now will be delivered in mid-March during the official March 14th through March 21st , 2011 Daffodil Days event.
Businesses wishing to offer advance sales can call 570-562-9749 to make arrangements or to locate locations where Daffodil Day advance-order items can be placed.
“The support and participation of our community in promoting advance orders of Daffodil Days’ items play a significant part in the overall success of this annual fundraiser,” says Kathy Maida, the American Cancer Society’s Pike County Daffodil Days chairperson..
Proceeds from Daffodil Days’ donations support the many local and national programs that help people stay well through preventive education and early detection, and by providing physical and emotional support during and after a cancer diagnosis — whether it’s a ride to a treatment, a shoulder to lean on, or help navigating treatment decisions and everyday concerns that face cancer patients and their families. Donations also help find cures through research, so someday, no one will ever have to hear the devastating words, “You have cancer.”
“Needless to say, this is important work,” Maida concluded, “and your participation in Daffodil Days is a very real way you can give hope in our ongoing battle to defeat cancer.”
