East Stroudsburg, PA – The non-profit Eastburg Community Alliance (ECA) is currently seeking volunteer support with fire damage remediation inside of the Historic 1864 Dansbury Depot. The ECA invites all interested groups and individuals to join us in playing a direct and invaluable role in saving our community’s local history and preserving our proud past for future generations.
Join the Eastburg Community Alliance (ECA) as we host volunteer Depot Clean-up Days at the Historic Dansbury Depot (located at the intersection of S. Kistler and Analomink Streets, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301) on Wednesday, September 14th from 4pm to 8pm and again on Sunday, September 18th from 2pm to 6pm. Volunteers are a very important part of our organization and can directly contribute to this valuable rehabilitation project by assisting the ECA in cleaning smoke and fire damage from this historic station’s walls to help prepare for professional rehabilitation work. No experience or skills are required, simply a willingness to work hard for a good cause. All cleaning materials will be provided. Volunteers may be working with bleach and other cleaning agents as such face masks, gloves and eye protection are available and strongly recommended. RSVP recommended for large groups, but not required, simply arrive in old clothes ready to work and make a difference in the community you live. Waivers will be required of all participants.
If you are unable to participate in ECA’s Depot Clean-up Days, but still wish to volunteer your time and skills in support of the ECA’s Dansbury Depot Preservation Project through fundraising support, event planning, office help, technical support or otherwise, please contact us at 570-424-7540 or email@example.com. We’d love to have you on board!
