Elevations Health Club Donating Reduced Membership Fees to the United Way of Monroe County

Scotrun, PA – To help its community, Elevations Health Club has reduced the price of its membership and is donating a portion of all new memberships to the United Way of Monroe County’s 2011 campaign.

Through Oct.15, Elevations has reduced the enrollment fee on all one-year memberships to just $25 from the regular price of $99, and that $25 will be donated to the United Way.

“We’re excited to be helping the United Way reach its fundraising goals and assisting those in need,” said Barry Klein, co-owner of Elevations Health Club. “At the same time, we’re providing significant savings to anyone who has been thinking of joining one of our clubs.  We’ve never done this before, so it’s a great time to take advantage of the reduced price.”

Additionally, Elevations is hosting two events to raise additional funds for the United Way. Fall Into Fitness Days are planned for Oct. 8 at the Elevations location in Marshalls Creek and for Oct. 15 at the Scotrun location. Members and guests will be able to take cycle class, as well as a new release of the popular BodyPump class, and will be invited to participate in a fitness challenge. In Scotrun, there will be free swim lessons. Food, donated by Subway, will be provided. There will also be pumpkin decorating and a special story time for the kids.

“United Way is focused on Education, Income and Health and improving people’s lives,” said George Roberts, campaign co-chair. “This fundraiser will not only help our 2011 campaign, but will also help improve people’s health.”

The events are open to anyone, according to Rob Bishop, co-owner of Elevations. “But, we know they will be popular and will fill up, so we’re taking donations for the United Way whenever someone wants to sign-up ahead of time to guarantee their spot,” he said.

There has already been a great deal of response to the membership special and to the special events. “If 100 people join Elevations before October 15th, that will mean $2500 to the United Way and those consumers will have saved nearly $7500,” said Klein.  “That’s a win for everyone involved.”
