Wayne Memorial Hospital employees donated two car loads of gifts for seniors to be distributed by the Wayne County Area Agency on Aging. WMH Social Services Manager Mary Burgio said she had been given names of 32 Wayne County seniors who did not have family and could use a few items, ranging from simple things like stamps and pens to a toaster oven. “The response from hospital staff was overwhelming,” said Burgio, “it really warmed my heart!” Burgio is pictured, far left, helping Area Agency on Aging staff pick up the gifts, left to right: Lisa Gilbert, Mary Ursich, Season Slish and Julie Cornwell.
