Tannersville, PA — United Way of Monroe County is having a special fundraiser at four area McDonald’s restaurants on Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Twenty percent of all food and beverage sales during that time period will go to the 2010 campaign to help those in need. Participating McDonald’s include the following locations: Route 940 in Mount Pocono, lower Main Street in Stroudsburg, Route 209 in Marshalls Creek and Routes 209 and 115 in Brodheadsville.
The McUnited Way Night will feature United Way volunteers who will be greeting customers, helping at the drive-thru window and making fries. Ronald McDonald will also be greeting children at the Stroudsburg restaurant.
“We look forward to a fun evening and hope everyone comes out to support a great cause,” said 2010 Campaign Chair Pat Ross.
Literature and fliers on the United Way and its work in the community will be at each location. For more information, visit www.unitedwaymonroe.org or call the United Way of Monroe County at 570-629-5657.
