The Pocono Environmental Education Center in Pike County will receive a $3,000 grant from the state Department of Education. “This grant will be used to develop an air quality education program with a hands-on student component,” said Rep. John Siptroth, D-Monroe/Pike. “It will help advance the environmental center’s mission to bring environmental awareness, knowledge and appreciation through hands-on experiences in an outdoor classroom.”
