East Stroudsburg, PA – In response to an urgent request for assistance, the Rotary Club of the Smithfields donated $500 to the AWSOM Animal Shelter in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Jeannie Lee, vice president of AWSOM spoke to the Club about AWSOM’s mission and the assistance her organization provides to shelter and place hundreds of homeless animals. AWSOM is on pace to place over 1000 animals into new adoptive homes for 2010.
