East Stroudsburg, PA – The Rotary Club of the Smithfields is holding a paper shredding and electronics recycling fundraiser in conjunction with DES Community Partners in Recycling.  On Saturday, October 16, 2010 the Rotary Club and DES will be accepting paper, aluminum, bottles, plastics and electronic equipment from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Peppe’s Ristorante and Skylanes Bowling Center, Eagle Valley Corners, East Stroudsburg.

A donation of $8.00 per file box of paper (or its equivalent) for shredding and recycling will be paid at the event.  Televisions, computer screens and computer monitors require a donation of $10.00 per item.

Aluminum, glass, bottles and plastic will also be accepted for recycling, as will other electronic devices for an additional donation at the donor’s discretion to this worthy cause.

This is a fantastic opportunity to rid your home or workplace of unneeded papers, old files and old records in a secure environment.  Please call Rotary Club member Glen Segond at (570) 424-6049, or DES Community Partners at 421-2912, for more information.

The event will help raise funds for the community projects undertaken by the Rotary Club of the Smithfields, which has recently assisted the Clementine Abeloff Pediatric Clinic at Pocono Medical Center and the AWSOM animal shelter in Stroudsburg.
