United Way of Pike County holds Food Drive

0

Every year the United Way of Pike County focuses on finding ways to further help the community. The goal of the United Way is to assist in alleviating Hunger and Homelessness in Pike County. This year the United Way of Pike County has partnered with multiple Food Pantries throughout Pike County to help them increase food donations for their pantries.

“We are excited to be able to work with multiple Food Pantries in Pike County. These Food Pantries count on not only our donations but donations from the community. All the food pantries in Pike County are ran by volunteers and when we speak with those volunteers about the need for food in their pantries, you really don’t believe it until you hear it from them. We are hoping to be able to bring food to their pantries so that families in Pike County can have a nice meal this holiday season,”  stated, President Matt Osterberg.

The United Way of Pike County will be collecting food from Monday, October 31st, 2016 throughFriday, November, 18th, 2016. You can drop off your items at the United Way of Pike County office at 209 East Harford Street, Milford between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm.
