Hawley, PA – Tenants that have leased office space on the second floor of the Hawley Silk Mill are moving into their new offices this week. Kelly Magee, a professional psychotherapist, is up and operating on the second floor. LockData Technologies and Lake Region Computers are currently moving in and plan to be conducting business on the professional floor of the Hawley Silk Mill by the New Year. Attorney’s Waldron and Guccini are planning to move their legal offices in early January.

“There is still professional office space available and can be occupied immediately”, stated Troy Bystrom, Project Executive for the Silk Mill. “Offices can be leased as single offices or combined for larger companies. There is also a premier 900 square foot space and 4500 square feet of space ready for build out on the second floor, 3800 square feet of prime space on the ground floor, which would be fantastic for a restaurant or microbrewery. Retail space is also available on the first floor and will be ready to go by May 1, 2011. There is an additional 18,000 square feet of space in a warehouse building on the property that will be converted into business class space as well.”

According to the project’s web site, the plan for the retail floor is to create a lifestyle retail center. Ideal businesses include an outfitter offering bikes, kayaks and outdoor gear, sporting goods store, athletic clothing store, men’s and women’s clothing stores, an organic food or local produce market, home furnishings, upscale antiques, gift shops, jewelry, pack and ship business, and office supply store.

Bystrom commented, “This is a unique opportunity for retail businesses to get in on the ground floor early and secure a one of a kind, high traffic location listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We also have resources available to help new businesses get started and become successful.”
