Milford, PA – The Pike County Hotel Tax Board in conjunction with the Pike County Commissioners are excited to announce the 4th Annual Pike County Visitors Guide & Map completely dedicated to tourism. This will compliment the website: http://www.discoverpikepa.com and is funded in part by the Pike County Room Tax collected by each lodging facility in the county.
The 2012-2013 Visitors Guide will have a digital focus on discovering Pike County by complementing the social media landscape, allowing visitors to utilize the website, their smartphones, tablets and social media while planning their trip or while in the county. The guide will continue to provide a useful hands on printed piece for those without access to the website or social media. The guide will have a complete re-design including QR codes, enhanced editorial and coupons to complement advertisements.
40,000 guides and 80,000 maps will be printed and distributed to 300+ locations throughout Northeast PA, NY and NJ, Interstate Welcome Centers and Pocono Mountain Tourist Information Centers. The Guide will be accessible on the website, through social media and on smartphones/tablets. We are pleased to be affiliated with the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau, who is also taking an active role in distributing the Map & Guide.
The Visitors Guide, Map and Website are a great way for visitors to the area to plan a trip and be able to see everything Pike County and the surrounding area has to offer. In order for these planning tools to be as comprehensive as possible, local tourism related businesses need to be listed and keep their information up to date. Because of the hotel tax funding, we are able to offer a FREE listing for tourism related businesses in the guide and on the website, plus full color advertising at very reasonable rates.
