A dedicated professional, Maryann Gilpin credits her success with Davis R. Chant Realtors to the fact she puts service to the customer above everything else and to working as a team with her husband Bill. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Maryann came to Milford in 1965 for a visit to a dude ranch and immediately fell in love with the area. Finding this wonderful place only 90 minutes from New York, she was intrigued with the charming Victorian town, beautiful streams, the Delaware River, and the peace of the woods. After five years of weekend visits, Maryann moved to the place she loved and ran three businesses, two clothing boutiques called ‘Cousins Jeans’ and ‘Tops’, and a butcher shop called ‘Milford Smokehouse’, before becoming a secretary for Davis R. Chant Realtors. She quickly became a Realtor herself, and she is still here serving her clients and customers. That dedication is what earned her the title of Top Listing Agent for this past July.
Since becoming a Realtor, Maryann has made some wonderful friends and truly enjoys listing and selling homes. With 37 years experience at Davis R. Chant Realtors, in both the up and down real estate markets, she can handle every challenging aspect that arises.
“Even though it is a tough and challenging market, it only prepares you for the next bend on the ever twisting road of real estate,” Maryann says. “I’ve been through the ups and downs of the market before, and have always managed to keep my sellers happy and confident that I will get the job done. Maryann and her husband, Bill, have been married for 29 years. Bill is a part-time Realtor and teams up with his wife to service both clients and customer, and has been with Ed Nikles Custom Home Builders for 10 years as their Production Supervisor. They have two daughters, are members of St. Patrick Church, and many other local committees. Reggie, their Black Pug, also brings much joy to these serious animal lovers.
