Michael Levine Joins Kalahari Resorts and Conventions as Director of Sales at the New Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania Property

Pocono Mountains, Penn.  (April 1, 2016) — Kalahari Resorts and Conventions is expanding its Pocono Mountains leadership team with the addition of Michael G. Levine. In his role as director of sales, Levine will oversee the operations of the sales, catering and conference services departments at the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania, Kalahari Resorts and Conventions property.

Levine’s responsibilities include: overseeing the direct sales activities and production at the property level; identifying and securing new accounts; personally managing key accounts; analyzing competition and maintaining Kalahari’s market position; providing guidance, direction and training to the conference services and catering teams; and working in conjunction with the general manager and senior leadership to implement promotional programs and marketing initiatives.

Levine brings more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry to his role, most recently serving as the director of sales at Interstate Hotels & Resorts, leading the sales efforts at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. He first joined Interstate Hotels & Resorts in 2013 as director of sales and marketing in the Washington, D.C., area. 

Prior to Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Levine served as director of sales for a variety of hotels and conference centers throughout the East Coast. He started his career in hospitality as an accountant at IHG and Hilton Hotels, later transitioning to sales.

Levine received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and holds positions on a variety of local organizations, including: member of the Visit Wilmington marketing committee, member of JDRF Wilmington and Philadelphia board, and member of the King of Prussia Rotary board of directors.
